8-16-22   THOUGHTS

We continue our thoughts from yesterday’s post.  The WISDOM and WORDS from God make us “GOOD FRUIT PEOPLE”!  The ROCK FOUNDATION can only come from God.  
1Pet 1:23    for you have been born again not of seed which is perishable but imperishable, [that is,] through the living and enduring word of God.
Rom 15:4    For whatever was written in earlier times was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

Matt 7:20-29    "So then, you will know them by their fruits.  21  "Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.  22  "Many will say to Me on that day, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in Your name, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name perform many miracles?’ 23  "And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; DEPART FROM ME, YOU WHO  PRACTICE LAWLESSNESS.’ 24  "Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock.  25  "And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.  26  "Everyone who hears these words of Mine and does not act on them, will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.  27  "The rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and it fell —  and great was its fall." 28  When Jesus had finished these words, the crowds were amazed at His teaching; 29  for He was teaching them as one having authority, and not as their scribes.

We are never too young or too old to start building our foundation on the rock!  Surely we must develop THE WANTS!  Prov 1:32b says...  “And the complacency of fools will destroy them.”
Jas 1:5   But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

My Prayer:
Lord, thank you for giving us the wisdom from your mind.  Guide us to desire your mind so powerfully that we absorb it in every breath.  Give to us generously the joy of learning your wisdom.  As we grow closer and closer to You in our souls, may we share our zeal from your words with each other.  O God, help us to become a book club for you.  Please bless the motivation of love within us.  In the name of Jesus we pray,      Amen.
